How SNAP Works
Three steps from shutter to organized.
Choose Your Intent
Tap what you're capturing: Receipt, Food, Contact, or any of the 10 intents. This tells the app how to process and file it.
Take the Photo
Capture directly to iCloud Drive. It never touches your Camera Roll. On-device AI kicks in instantly.
Instant Processing
Text is extracted, barcodes decoded, content classified. If Auto-AI is on, generative analysis runs too. Photo auto-files to the right folder.
The SNAP Screen
Choose your capture intent. Each button tells the app what you're photographing.
10 Capture Intents
Each intent determines what gets extracted, what AI analyzes, and which folder receives the photo.
Task → Tasks folder
Capture something you need to act on. A whiteboard, a note, a to-do list.
Read → Read folder
Extract all visible text from any document, sign, or screen. No character limit.
Receipt → Receipt folder
Capture receipts and invoices. Get structured data ready to file or expense.
Food → Food folder
Snap your meal for instant nutrition estimation. No manual food database entry.
Identify → Identify folder
Snap anything you can't identify. Plants, vehicles, electronics, antiques, art.
Interpret → Interpret folder
Decode test results, jargon, or foreign text. Get plain-language explanations.
Slide → Slides folder
Capture conference slides and whiteboards. Review key points later.
Reference → Reference folder
Capture IDs, warranties, manuals, insurance cards — anything you need to look up later.
Contact → Contacts folder
Snap a business card. Extract contact info and share directly to Contacts.
Evidence → Evidence folder
Document damage, incidents, or conditions for insurance claims and legal disputes.
Mode Toggles
Two toggles on the SNAP screen customize your capture workflow.
Auto-AI
Automatically runs generative AI analysis after capture. Configured per intent — Food, Identify, Interpret, and Contact default to ON. Each intent remembers your preference independently. Uses one credit per analysis.
Batch Mode
Keeps you in the camera after each capture for rapid-fire shooting. Great for snapping 10 slides in a row, or multiple receipts. Analyze them all later from the Folders tab.
